Well that's a bit bizarre. I do know there are some with Outlook + Word 
problems,
possibly related to one of the inumerable patches (band aids) that get 
slapped all over the products. It may be worth keeping in mind 
that the same thing could happen again when you transfer it to your SOE at 
work - as it is (some form) of security issue. If you are going to 
be running the macros over your network, try to grab some time with the 
network/admin guys and talk it over, quite often they know of all the 
weird
security issues caused by the latest....Ahem "upgrades" and you can work 
something out.

I tried the below to no avail.

Laptop I am using is my own. I was trying to successfully write and test
the macro before I transferred over to my (very large) work
environment).

After powering off and on again, starting Outlook and trying to run the
macro again I still received the error message.

What fixed it??? Very very odd but everything worked ticky boo after I
closed Outlook. Unsure why. If I work out a more 'logical' answer to the
problem I will let you all know. Mind you, nothing is logical with
Windows and as we all know, NOTHING is logical when it comes to Word. I
shouldn't be surprised.

It's to do with your security settings in Word.

Go to Tools>Macro>Security and choose Medium instead of High or Very
High. 

Then next time you open the file it will ask if you want to run the
macros.

Probably your Word at home is not as secure as at work.

Hi everyone

Am a VBA newbie!

I have created a (Word) macro that I ran a couple of times (against a
test document) over the weekend without any problems. Today when I try
to run the macro I receive the following error message:
 
'The Macros in this project are disabled, please refer to the online
help for this application (blah blah) for instruction on how to enable
macros'.

(of course I cannot find anything in the Word online Help - I guess that
it is probably referring to the VBA online Help?

Would very much appreciate assistance on this one from a Word/VBA guru
out there!
