Thanks everyone.  I was also hoping for input from some agencies on the 
list, but you can't always get what you want ;-)

I've spoken with the companies Privacy Coordinator, and he claims it has 
been included after input from their legal firm.  He also claimed it was 
to inform job seekers that their details may be released to 
organisations that have a legal claim to the information, like certain 
government licencing departments etc.  This was completely ingnoring the 
  clause "any person with a lawful entitlement to obtain the information"

When I questioned the clauses he said he would get back to me.  This is 
a small firm for Tasmania only, so not listing with them could be a 
two-edged sword.  In its current format, I won't be signing their agreement.

Off-topic, moving from Queensland to Tasmania is an interesting 
experience :-)
