atw: Re: Frame query .tpl?

Thanks Stuart,

No its not that I'm wondering what a template is or how it can be used with
Frame, its more the use of the file extension ".tpl" that I haven't seen
before. I'm guessing it just means "template". With Frame you can just use a
normal .fm document as a template file (which is what I've always used) to
import the various document properties etc. as required.

Tha fact that Windows, with FrameMaker installed on it, doesn't recognise the
file extension makes me wonder why (ie, if ".tpl" is a proper Frame extension
why doesn't it recognise it)? And there is no save-as option to create a .tpl
Frame template from a document?

Perhaps its just an old-school way of defiing a template?
