Do check out the Webopedia Data Formats and Their File Extensions
page at <http://www.webopedia.com/quick_ref/fileextensions.asp>
Where it states (under section T):
.tpl Resident units library (Turbo Pascal)
Template (Harvard Graphics 2.0)
Either that or it's the file extension for the guy most renowned
for performing "Fiddler on the Roof".
