atw: Re: Field code shading appearing intermittently in outline numbered Word 2003 doc

Select the para mark at the end of the numbered para. Ctrl+Space to reset
it. Whatever char format is on the para mark applies to the number format.
It is how a number picks up its base formatting from the style in use.

This is something that I also encountered yesterday, I also did not create
the template and had no luck getting rid of the shading. I also couldn't
find any reason for it happening!

I would be grateful if someone could explain how to get rid of shading
appearing on some numbers in headings created by outline numbering. I did
not create the document myself but I cannot see any rhyme or reason to why
the shading appears on some numbers and not others, or indeed, why it
appears at all.
