Draw a circle (Shift and the Ellipse tool) that lays out the rough 
circumference of your end diagram. (I would add this to a layer, and lock 
it to prevent extraneous selection during the next steps).
Draw lines using the Pencil Tool to match the curvature of the circle. The 
round green or red circle is where you modify the curve, fiddly but you 
will get used to it.
Add line effects to make it all look pretty.
Add Arrow heads using the Line Ends dialog.

You cannot make text follow a path as you could in Corel or Illustrator or 
that ilk of software - Visio isn't graphics software. 
You can add individual words using text blocks and rotate each block to 
roughly conform to the arrows you have drawn.
In your case, I think you just want to create a written step, rather than 
force a conform to a path situation. The rotate text block took will work 
wonders.

Once you have generated your diagram, delete the circle.

Hi all,
 
I need to draw a circular diagram in Visio with text along the 'circle' 
and arrows connecting this text. All the arrows will go in the same 
direction. It's basically like a circular flow diagram really.
 
Is there a "shape" in Visio that lets you do this? I can't seem to find 
one anywhere.
