So, What next?
Holiday first.
Then I might do something out of the square for a little while, maybe some
guiding in the mountains or cycle couriering for a few weeks through
autumn in Sydney. Assuming we don't get the wet year we are due for...

A break basically. And a chance to regain fitness I have lost. We'll see.
But I will be back tech writing before high winter. And I hope to find
something TW'ey that is off beat and really interesting just as a change.
Maybe something in electronics/software/firmware. Or some real technical
illustration for a while; that would be lovely.

If anyone hears of a hook I might bite at just drop me a line on the list,
I will be around, just not every day.

I really have achieved an awesome amount since I arrived here in November
2004. Looking this afternoon, I have produced over 90 manuals! Many of
them multiple volumes all hand collated, some over 1000 pages. Really
improved my editing and I did some authoring. Plus there was solving
document production problems that have been present for nearly twenty
years. Introduced document tracking and management, created style and
formatting standards for manuals consistent with the company image.
Rebuilt relationships and trust with the chief stakeholders (the
predecessor just ruined things there). So I can't complain! Everyone here
in Sydney is happy with the things I leave behind.

I do really enjoy leaving things in a better condition than when I
arrived.
