atw: Re: DocBook

Kristina,

I'm just starting a project using Docbook to produce web, print, and help
deliverables. I'm using includes for single sourcing
(http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2002/07/31/xinclude.html).

Writing to the Docbook DTD is simply structured writing, and many tools assist
in this by preventing you from using elements in an invalid manner. The
Definitive Guide is available for download as a *.chm which I find *very*
useful (http://www.docbook.org/tdg/index.html).

I did my original testing with Oxygen (http://www.oxygenxml.com/) which I found
quite easy to use for specifically producing Docbook files. I'm testing the
Altova XML Suite that my development team use to see what sort of support it
offers for Docbook.

Some links that helped me:

Have fun,

Geoff
