atw: Re: Digression: Question for ASTC (Vic) Members

Hi Janice,

The answer is maybe! Some people value the networking aspect of the meeting
enough to sit through something that is irrelevant - some people come along in
case it turns out to be relevant three years down the track when they want a
promotion or a career change. And sometimes people have other commitments or
just can't be bothered hauling themselves out in the heat/rain/storm/whatever,
which is fine too.

Regards
Andrea

Do people usually come to monthly meetings even if
the topic is not relevant to their particular
situation? I'd like to meet some of you next week
but the topic itself is not something that relates
to my work and I thought it might be relatively
specialized for some other people as well.

Have a nice weekend, everyone!
