I have been a naughty boy haven't I!

And here I was thinking to give the techncial  writting fraterntiy a=20
cheap chuckle at the expense of one of our senior practitioners, one=20
especially known for his fastidious attention to detail.  Me, I type=20
"and" for "adn" all the time; thank god for spell checkers.

At least Geoffrey will no longer be paying good money to Google to=20
display an inadvertently customer-repelling ad, especially when a=20
competitor is also displayed.  When I researched Google AdWords for a=20
computer illiterate friend, you could rent rare words like "shrdlu"* =20
for about 50c per month (pricing partly dependent on how many times it=20
displays and how many click-throughs).  On the other hand, popular words

like "naked", "sex", "technical" and "writer" cost a lot more to rent=20
owing to demand, and a higher appearance fee and click-through fee.

Thanks to those respondents who took the Rorschach inkblot test to=20
reveal their misandrist world view, to be hoped only temporary.

Linotype operators running a finger down the keyboard to alert the=20
proof-reader to a mistake.  Once a character matrix was on the moulding=20
bar you couldn't "delete" it.  Also a Puck-like character in Superboy=20
comics.
