I've never found a way to do that nicely. I've always ended up with:
'...blah blah detailed in [Figure 1] to [Figure 4].'?
(individual x-refs marked with square brackets)
So if anyone has a nice way of doing it, I'd be interested to know.

Hi everyone
I am trying to work out a way to cross reference a RANGE of tables (or
figures) in word. For example, I have a series of four consecutive
figures numbered 1,2,3,4.
How do I use the cross referencing function so that the end result is
'...blah blah detailed in Figures 1-4.'?
