If you're using a recent version of Acrobat (6.0? or later), you can do this
from within Acrobat itself. As with any such conversion, you'll have some
cleaning up to do, but at least you'll get all your text out.

In Acrobat 7.0 Professional, do File > Save As and choose Microsoft Word
Document as the "Save as type".

Does anyone know of a shareware product that can convert PDF documents back
to Word effectively.  The company I am working for has "lost" their Word
files, and has to convert all their books back to Word in order to update
them - so no copyright issues - they or their writers own the copyright.
