Hi Steve,

I don't think there's much you can do apart from Steve H.'s suggestion,
reinstating the network location or redefining the path in every Word
document.

MS KB articles 823372 and 830561 discuss this very issue and try to
provide workarounds.

Note that MS has acknowledged that this is a problem.

Sorry I can't help further.

Wishlist: MS Word is able to reference templates using HTTP.
