atw: Re: CMS software questions

I agree Allan,

New content management systems are easy to install in a couple of clicks
these days, and if you do know html, can easily be tweaked when required.
Add modules when required to do the cool stuff like photo albums, comment
modules, google maps etc.

The only bit twhich requires some work is the actual 'look' of the site,
which can easily be based on any number of fabulous free CSS open source
templates over at http://www.oswd.org (Open Source Web Design).

Simply plug the template code into the template within the CMS, add a
handful of tags for Content etc, and the rest is easy. The only hard paprt
is if you want to design the 'look' from scratch :-)

There are a few excellent cms available, and I always look for what's going
to be easiest for my own website/hosting clients.

If I can explain a few processes aimed at non-techie folk, then create
several 2-3 minute videos, and they 'get it', then I know I'm onto a good
product :-)

Cheers
