The Num Lk key on its own didn't make the keypad work, but when I press Fn
and then Num Lk, the keypad works. Yeah! Thanks Michael.
BTW, I got it wrong. It's an ASUS laptop not and Acer laptop.

Try the "Num Lock" key.
