What is unreasonable power? I rather suspect that many of us have never done any research and development as an ongoing style of life where there are considerable commercial and technical risks before a product emerges for popular consumption. When you have been in that life style, you certainly want to protect the effort that went into success, at the same time offsetting the sunk costs associated with the many pieces of research that didn't make it to market. Without rewards for successful innovation, we become a bunch of 'me too' operators like Mills and Boon 'authors'. Brian.
