atw: Re: Article: Microsoft Word Grammar Checker Are No Good, Scholar Conclude

CH> The errors in the title were deliberate,
Cheers. My poorly made point was that, when used in
different context, Word actually picked up the
"scholar conclude" error and gave the two correct
options ("scholars conclude" and "scholar concludes")
I know it doesn't pick them up in the complete title.
Well, it did ask if I wanted to change the '?' to a
fullstop. And that would've made the sentence make
perfect sense! :)

Hit and miss, I know, but of value to some--sometimes.

CH> but were there others?
I imagine they can at least claim that any and all
were deliberate.

As Andrea put so well, as if we didn't already know.
And, as you say, it defines us all as subpar--and
probably my Japanese girlfriend as good. Which, of
course, she is!

I'm just glad we have someone who "has dedicated
himself" to fixing it. It was worth the article just
to know that.(Thanks Stu.) I can't imagine Mr K'll
have much success, but best of luck to him. From what
Steve says, it sounds like he'll be needing it.

Cheers,
Terry
