It was a metaphor rather than an analogy, Stuart.
The hacker is like a trike rider - does it for fun, behaves like a
child, only responsible to herself.
MS programmers are like professional train drivers - they know all the
twists in the track - behave like adults, because they are responsible
for carrying thousands of paying travellers.
