atw: Re: Apart from using Word 2002, what else am I doing wrong?

Oh No! Not again! :-(

Logo Graphics coming up as rectangles.

Mix of MERGEFORMAT and MERGEFORMATINET field codes.
(For some reason, only the little logos in the headers do
the latter.)

Template still absolutely fine with no link changes or
corruption, so I built a new doc from it and did a copy and
paste of stable bits across from the earlier version of my
manual (did a mini-"Maggie", ta Steve H.) without grabbing
any section breaks - and it looked lovely. That is until I
had to close, then reopen Word 2000 / stinking 2. Argh!

Now about to place my head in my hands, making further
typing not only difficult but painful, using my nose as I
belt my face against this nice, soft and springy keyboard.
(Sort of like one of those pivoting drinking birdie
things.)

Hmm, mild concussion seems to help...

Gee Mr Gates, Word 2002 really does make such "stable"
document files.

Stable as in the last straw, filled with horse manure.

Any help or further consolation appreciated.

...and Yes, the Tools > Options > General tab > Web
options... "Update links on save" option has been turned
off all along, for everything.

(Oh Mr. Maloney, can you please call International Rescue
for me? My nose is now stuck on the spacebar and I have
to type with my tongue. Bleah!)

Cheers,

Michael
