My advice is:
- pump out the CV for every job you see that appeals
- Make your cover letter relevant to the industry
you're looking to move into
- call every prospective employer after lodging your
application as a beginner, being keen and interested in
TW is the biggest attribute you can offer!!). Sometimes
"keen" wins the job over knowledge (but, that depends
on the company). I can't stress this enough!!!!
- Finally, talk and walk like a tech writer. You might
have to do a writing test, so start thinking about how
to do things and how to explain them best.

It's a great profession, the people are also great, and
the work is {great and] challenging but fun....
