In the unlikely event that my Acrobat problem was of interest to anyone
else other than me, I can now report a successful (I hope) outcome. The
setting that needed to be changed was the check-box labelled Auto-Rotate
and Center (in the Print dialog box). It was missing a tick.

Can anyone more familiar with Acrobat suggest any ideas for overcoming a
printing problem?
The PDF document I'm printing has three landscape pages and 19 portrait
pages. Previously when I've printed documents like this, Acrobat
automatically orients the landscape pages correctly. But not any more -
all are coming out as portrait mode.
It must be something in my own configuration of Acrobat, as others can
print the same documents from their PCs and they come out fine. But I
can't for the life of me see what's different in my set-up.
