PowerPoint can do similar flow charts to Visio and is a little more text
friendly.  You can also save these as HTML, or convert to PDF - but I
have had some problems with the hyperlinked boxes transferring nicely
into PDF format (in both versions 7 and 8).  IMHO Adobe just can't seem
to figure out linked graphics.  I would go with a HTML version instead.
 
PowerPoint is really quite a bit more useful than for your usual
revolting slideshow and it is a tool that most people have on their PC
and can use with little training.
