Exactly the point I was trying to make. You have to be fair to
experienced
and capable practitioners without forcing them to attend a course they
could
do on their ears, but at the same time you need to have a transparent and
respected assessment procedure.
Perhaps you just concentrate on non-tool skills (research and analysis,
writing, editing, indexing, project/people management, release management,
etc.)
and leave questions of tool knowledge and higher skills such as
programming to
the resume.
