atw: Re: ALWAYS

I was in New York about five years ago and there was really heavy security
around the Stock Exchange - big wire fence, quasi-military police, dogs,
bag inspections for everyone wanting go in. I called a policeman over and
asked if there had always been this level of security.
"Yes, sir."
I then asked if the security had really always been like this or if it had
been in place for just the last couple of years.
"Yes, sir. The last couple of years."
I asked if it had been in place since September 2001.
"Yes, sir. Since 911."
I asked if there had ever been an attack on the NYSX.
"Not to my knowledge, sir."
I asked if there had ever been a direct threat of an attack on the NYSX.
"Not to my knowledge, sir."
I asked that if there had never even been a threat of an attack, why they
were there.
"Quite frankly, sir, I ask myself the same question."

BTW, "never" needs recuing, too.
