There is a permanent position available for a Technical Writer at
Vignette. We're after someone with 1-2 years experience, preferably in a
software development environment. It is a full-time permanent position
located in North Sydney.

Vignette is seeking a motivated and talented Technical Writer to join
our Sydney-based team to document Vignette's products. The Sydney
development team produce a Next Generation Web product as well as a
complex Image and Workflow browser-based product that enables the
capture, processing and archiving of information across an organization.


Candidates should have one to two years experience writing
documentation, preferably within a software development environment. In
addition to working knowledge of FrameMaker and Adobe Acrobat,
candidates should be familiar with web application technologies. The
ideal candidate is able to grasp technical concepts, communicate them
quickly, and identify appropriate information for varying audiences.
Candidates must work well under pressure, meet schedules, excel as a
team player, and produce high quality work. Good organizational and
writing skills are a must, along with good subject-matter interviewing
skills and the desire to be a strong contributor to a development group.

Requirements 
        *       1 - 2 years experience as a technical writer preferably
within a software development environment
        *       Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant field
        *       Excellent written and verbal communication skills
        *       Ability to effectively analyse multiple sources of
information
        *       Ability to produce clear, concise technical and user
documentation based on technical input from software developers. Must be
able to make complex technical ideas accessible to non-technical
audiences
        *       Ability to balance multiple tasks
        *       Ability to handle tight schedules and meet deadlines
        *       Familiar with Web application technologies and
client/server applications
        *       Experience with application and /or portal servers a
plus
        *       Experience FrameMaker and Adobe Acrobat
*       Familiarity with graphics programs and HTML
*       Familiarity with online help systems and online help authoring
tools
