atw: OT: SYDNEY Amorphophallus flowering!!! (RBG)

This could be your chance to see the biggest flower in the world. Peak is
Oct 7-8. Last cheap day is Fri Oct 1 if you want to see it twice (I will
be). It'll also be your chance to see other amorphophallaphiles!

It's also all over the SMH front page online today:

> It's called amorphophallus titanum and that's because it's a deformed
> phallic shape ... what it looks like is, to put it bluntly, a big
> banana-shaped thing with this frilly skirt that opens up upside
> down. But there is another distinct feature of the green and crimson
> flower quite separate to its size - its smell. "It has the smell of
> rotting fish," Mr Entwisle said.
> And the good news is that "At peak flowering (and peak stinkiness, we
> hope!), the Tropical Centre will be open for 24 hours - watch this
> space to find out when this is going to happen"
