atw: OT: Musical ignorance

Bill Parker's .sig line includes the following:

What's a klezmer clarinetist?
I'm guessing that it's someone who plays a klezmer clarinet, and
although I have held a clarinet in my hands, I have no idea what a
klezmer is.  Is it a playing style, perhaps?
