To offer a non-testosteroned opinion:
I think I must miss some posts so I often find it hard to follow threads that
become hostile and
often wonder what people are so bothered by. Regardless, I believe that however
someone feels
about another's post I think that a basic standard of courtesy should be that
we refrain from
any kind of name-calling. I feel dismayed and offended when I see name-calling
though I find
other manifestations of heated argument fine.
As for the Off Topic flag - rather than a black and white OT I think it might
be a good idea to
revise the Subject line whenever there's any change or addition to the original
Subject (which
there often is). This can be useful when you want to look at old posts or just
to provide more
info for your decision to open the post or not.
