atw: Much reposted subjects...

You know, there are some subject which are discussed quite frequently,
often because someone new asks a question, such as "why aren't my lists
working in Word", etc. Sometimes they don't check the archives, and
sometimes the list of search results can be quite daunting to go
through, particularly as the discussion winds off the topic, sometimes
never to return.

Maybe we should set up a wiki, where everyone can add solutions to such
questions, which would remain there in perpetuity. So the next time
someone asks a question, they can be directed to the site. It wouldn't
replace this list, just enhance it's power!

Obviously there will be issues such as hosting, etc - and we would
probably have to look at some means of dealing with the inevitable
casual destroyers, but I think it could work.

I set up a wiki for my team a few months ago - and then I was moved onto
another project, so I have no idea how its going. It was openwiki, which
you will find info about at www.openwiki.com. Hedley also sent a killer
post about it several months ago - in the old yahoo archives:

What do people think?
