atw: Melbourne contract; 3 months, start early April, close to CBD

Hello austechies,

 

A client is looking fro an experienced technical writer for a 3-month
contract. Let me quote the stated requirements:

- Have an understanding of documentation design principles, with the ability
to apply these principles to both paper and online documentation

- Have completed Information Mapping or business analysis previously and
know how to apply this to document structure and design

- Knowledge of document version controls, use of templates and documentation
design standards

- Have specific experience and knowledge in relation to relevant
technologies and tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, RoboHelp,
Power Point and Visio

- Excellent understanding and use of Plain English

- Show attention to detail

 

The types of documentation we are producing at the moment focuses on IT and
applications and include paper based and online user guides, quick reference
guides, procedure manuals, rostering procedures. There is currently some
work also being done in the documentation of finance related procedures. 

 

Familiarity with medical terms and terminology, while useful is not
required.
