Dear austechies,
I'm hairless with frustration in trying to solve this problem Help, please.
I have a numbered list, with the numbers inserted with SEQ fields. The
paragraphs are all styled, and the style has a left indent of 1.27cm and a
hanging indent of 0.63cm. All this is fine, and it's worked splendidly for
the 100 or so procedures in this manual I'm working on.
The client has now asked for a small graphic to be placed at the start of
each procedure (1.5cm H by 2cm W). So I plonk the thing in (Insert by Link)
to the left of the first step in the procedure and set its layout (or
run-around properties) to SQUARE with a horizontal alignment of LEFT. It
snaps into place, BUT.each step to the immediate right of the graphic now
has a much larger hanging indent (about 2cm). All the steps below the
graphic retain the correct hanging indent as per the style specification
(0.63cm). It looks bleddy fugly.
Does anyone have any clues as why the indent is being screwed by the
placement of the graphic? And how the problem might be overcome?
BTW: I'm running Word 2003 on XP SP2.
Don't you just love Framemaker!
Cheers
