atw: Hi everyone, Adobe CS3 Upgrade Licensing issues they DON'T TELL YOU.

Aggravation recently when I went to install my latest version of CS3. I have
a licensed copy of CS2. The disks are somewhere (I think they were thieved
by an ex-fiancé actually-adding to aggravation) but the license is still in
my possession. Anyway, I also have access to a number of other licenses.
 
Well, clicking and entering the old license into the upgrade section DOES
NOT WORK. And the message it provides is horrendously incomprehensible. It
makes no sense, and actually makes you look like there is a bug. Reason is
that you have to follow a rigmarole which requires you to ring Adobe. AND
WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT,
AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND
WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT,
AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND
WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT,
AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, until they
answer you and tell you how to do it. It is a "security" feature. Yeah, I
have a pretty sensitive B-S-ometer, and it went into the red zone when I
heard that. Because the other people on the end of the phone line have
English as a second language, I was denied the opportunity to describe what
I really think about Adobe in vernacular adjectival intricacy...
 
So letting you know, you need to allow for 45 minutes to one hour(!) to get
the licensing procedure completed.
 
I will be sending Adobe an invoice for wasting my time, in my case I
actually had to lose work because you have to be at your computer. 
 
So, for any Adobe people snooping around on these lists; pass it on from me
that you are becoming real dick-heads. And really, really pissing your
customers off.
