... I'm bugged when I have to edit documents that use "via" as a
universal verb to mean whatever the writer wishes.
I'm also bugged by the return of 18th century Capitalisation, where
Authors capitalise (-ze?) random Words. I have to Remove these All the
Time.

Garry.

You can punch information into a programmer too. The problem is, they
punch back.

Hi Gary (S)
Re. your issues with 18th century capitalisation...
.

I'm all for the 17th myself Michael.

Long before the days of days of Lord Beeching and the axeing of huge chunks of the British railways system.

What IS he talking about?

Brit born readers continue, the rest of you may quietly withdraw - we will not mind.

OK. Now they are gone.....

Been listened all day to a three CD set of Flanders and Swan - wordsmiths and funny men extraordnaire and moved by a simple song called "Slow Train".

Its about the days in the 1960s when it was accepted by the UK govt rationalists that some railways didn't "make money". Get rid of them!

Was that so wise? Lord Beeching thought so. Others didn't. They ripped the guts out of the UK in my view. If village names like Blandford Forum, Midsummer Norton and Mortiehow mean anything to you I'd be happy to forward (off "air") an MP3 and some lyrics.

Such is nostalgia. And its only Saturday.
