Just in case you need to run some Windows hardware sometimes or indulge
in dark guilty pleasures, find and install VirtualBox -- it's free and
open source. Now you can install Windows inside VirtualBox and boot it
whenever you need to run the critical program, e.g. FrameMaker (Linux
version was frozen at 5.5.6). You can even share files back and forth
between Ubuntu and Windows through a special common folder, which can be
your entire data disk if you want. I have it going the other way with
Ubuntu as a guest on Windows, thanks to VirtualBox.
VirtualBox is great if you have to document on one platform but run the
target software on another.
Regards,
Hedley
