Hi all - a quick message sent on behalf of Elizabeth Fullerton, who is
temporarily without e-mail access...........
Firstly, about the wiki:
=================
Hmmmm... the wiki did get going, but has been deactivated because it had not
been posted upon for one month (I guess that job-changing thing took up more
of
my time than I had suspected - is it a month already?). I went to reactivate
it, but
they want a $20 reactivation fee, so I guess that's not going to happen!
There was not much on it - just me trying to get the formatting less than
completely ugly. If anyone knows of a better free wiki than
www.seedwiki.com, let
me know!
=================
Secondly, about the bunfight that's currently going on about which ASTC
should
own what info... I am clearly missing some point - why don't all the
different
ASTC's merge to create one giant benevolent hegemony, where we *all* have
access to the site and we *all* are represented by one group, etc, etc,
blah, blah,
blah. Separate chapters, obviously, for local stuff, meetings, courses, etc.
Seems
obvious to me, so why isn't it like that now. And let's chuck NZ in for good
luck,
too. More members, more power.
On my own behalf, here, here! There is no point in us spending our hard
earned cash (regardless of our hourly rate) to reinvent the wheel. One big
(and hopefully highly visible) group surely has to be more effective than
dozens of smaller groups? Doesn't it? *sits back and waits hopefully for
Santa Claus*
Regards
Andrea
