atw: Comments in HTML

I'm editing some HTML pages (in Dreamweaver MX) and want to temporarily
remove part of a page.
My impulse was to comment-out the part in question (using <!-- and -->), but
it already contains comments (including Dreamweaver-generated ones) which
would prematurely end my enclosing comment.
What method do any of you use for temporarily removing part of a page?
