Technical Writer

 

Urgent need for an experienced Technical Writer for a 3 month contract in
the South Eastern Suburbs.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

. 3 years technical writing experience in a technical environment, ideally
with a company involved in developing real-time or communications software
solutions.

. Thorough understanding of MSword.

. Excellent written and oral communications skills.

. Ability to interpret and understand technical documentation and
discussions.

. Tertiary qualification in a IT or a scientific subject or 5 years
technical writing experience in an IT or scientific environment.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

. Responsible for the development and/or improvement of high quality
internal technical specifications and customer documentation through
assembly of existing technical documentation and derivation of required
information from relevant technical staff.

. Ensure that assigned project documentation is produced to a consistently
high standard with minimal defects and according to the agreed timeframe.

. Plan personal workload so that all assigned commitments are met.

. Review technical documentation produced by other members of staff.

. Adhere to defined development company standards, procedures and processes.

. Other duties as directed
