Dear austechies,
I would be keen to hear from anyone who might be interested in a 12-month
contract in Canberra, beginning on January 7 2008 (or in December, if you
are free). This role would suit a senior writer with good knowledge of the
full gamut of ICT infrastructure (networks, mainframe, midrange and desktop
systems, data warehousing, imaging and support). You will be preparing a
wide range of documentation, such as operational procedures, statements of
work, contracts for out-sourcing and third-party supply, and detailed
technical documents (such as network diagrams).
In addition to ICT knowledge and advanced technical writing skills, it would
be good if you had:
* Knowledge of general IT procurement practices
* Knowledge of Commonwealth Government procurement guidelines
* Adequate technical knowledge in the ICT field to be able to
satisfactorily negotiate with suppliers of services and equipment
You also need (or be willing to obtain) a "Highly Protected" security
classification.and, no, this is not a Defence contract.
Call me if you want more details, but do so before CoB on 29 October. BTW:
the work cannot be done remotely.
Cheers
Geoffrey Marnell
