Contact the project manager, Trudi Tucker:
ttucker at wng dot com dot au
(08) 6213-7346

-----------------------------------------

Following an acquisition, a company's systems, infrastructure,
operations and procedures are required to be separated from those
of its parent company=2E You will be working on the transition of
selected IT systems to the new company=2E

The Transition team is going through all the applications and web
sites, working out what's involved in getting each one installed,
tested, accepted and running in a production environment here at
the new company=2E This all requires a lot of documentation--
detailed tech specs, test plans, implementation plans,
installation guides, operational readiness docs, and so on=2E

There are separate streams working on infrastructure, applications
and 'service readiness'=2E Each stream has a couple of BAs and a
technical writer to help with getting the technical documentation
completed, signed off and stored in the content management system=2E
Looking at it from the business viewpoint, the purpose of the docs
is for the Operations and Support people to be assured that they
have the hardware, software, bandwidth, people, documentation,
procedures, etc, to be able to run and support each application
from the cutover day=2E

The TW in the Infrastructure stream has been seconded to help out
elsewhere in his team, so we need to fill that TW position=2E Time
is fairly short so we need an experienced TW who knows at least
the basics of how a data centre operates (servers, DBs, backups,
DR, monitoring, and so on)=2E

The contract would be from "how soon can you start=3F" to the end
of August=2E

The formal job description follows=2E If you're interested, contact
the project manager, Trudi Tucker (ttucker at wng dot com dot au)=2E
