Thanks to all for the macros and advice. I can clean up my docs but they wont stay clean and as someone pointed out it's too easy to delete the base styles. The cha chas are getting into the CSS file, which provides another maintenance overhead, and infecting the on-line help. It's hard to believe that anyone in MS saw this as an improvement. If it wasn't so silly it could be a virus.
