I think it is pretty well known in programming circles. We use the term = in our development environment and it generally means "see if you can = break it, use it seriously, use it as the client would in the real = world" but I don't think we'd promote it to users that way. It depends what they are trying to convey to their market - "we test it = thoroughly" OR "we find it reliable and use it ourselves" or something = else? I would reword for marketing purposes. -----Original Message----- From: FCzuczman@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:FCzuczman@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, 29 April 2003 2:15 PM To: austechwriter@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [austechwriter] Using the word 'anger' in marketing text Hi All, Does anyone see any issue with the following? "All the products we sell we use in anger ourselves." It was written by a british writer for one of the contract programmers here. He asked me to proof it, I was amazed that they used the word = anger. He got back to them and supposedly it is a common term used in the US = and UK. Can anybody confirm this? To me it sounds like the product is used for malicious, vindictive = reasons by the developers.
