[austechwriter] Re: Using the word 'anger' in marketing text

Maybe it's a Queensland thing , but I had heard the term way before I became
involved in IT (it might have been to do with agricultural equipment - I'm
an ex farm boy - and it was probably in a marketing context). As others have
suggested, it just means to use something for a real task and use it very
heavily (ie not just dabble in it or play with it). Certainly it had no
connotations of actual anger - it may have originally had them but they had
disappeared before I first heard the term.

It probably says something about how easy it is to make assumptions about
what other people understand by a word or phrase, but I wouldn't have looked
twice at the term unless it was being in a context where a fairly colloquial
usage wasn't appropriate.
