Indeed.  The French (but existing in the English language) word "r=E9sum=E9"=
=20
(not "resume", which is related, but means "recommence", essentially) means=
=20
summary.

Having come from Britain, where CV is used, I'd never heard r=E9sum=E9 used=
=20
until I arrived in Australia in the early 90s and, embarrassingly, had to=20
ask what it meant ("Oh!  You mean a CV.")
