Thanks for letting me know, Mike and my apologies for any inconvenience
caused to you by that recruiter.

I was unaware that this was happening, as you should have only got my
resume. I understand perfectly how you would have found such a large
document unacceptable, even apparently pretentious, to receive with an
initial application, which is why it is (supposed to be) only ever received
by specific request.

You should have never received it as a Word file, nor as a
printout. Normally,my CV is only available by directly requesting it from
me, as a PDF in which you can browse a job assignment "tree" of bookmarks.

Please advise me off-list of who did so and I shall take steps to make sure
that such things do not recur.

Also, any so called professional recruiter should know the difference
between a resume (without accents here because the "r=E9sum=E9" thing with
Windows characters happened last time) and a Curriculum Vitae, which have
quite different meanings here (but not in North America).

resume: 1. a short descriptive summary, as of events. 2. US & Canadian,
another name for Curriculum Vitae. [C19 from the French Resumer (accents
missing) to RESUME]

Curriculum Vitae: plural curricula vitae. an outline of a person's
educational and professional history, usually prepared for job
applications. Abbrev. CV [Latin, literally: the course of one's life.]

But hey, I have to list all my assignments and tools and achievements
somewhere, as I go, or I'd never have a hope of remembering them. It is as
much a resource for me as anything else.

Sincerely,

Michael Granat
