Dear All I've been trying to follow this thread, but it's become more a of 50lb trace and rapidly slipping through my fingers. But, I'd like to know what do you [all] think of submitting a CV in an HTML format? And, why is it not common practice? Your thoughts?? A resume or CV is your first (and sometimes only) opportunity to impress a prospective employer or agency representative. As such, it should be a best-of-breed. How many of you would use a printer with a typo on his business card? How many of you would use a mechanic whose car blows smoke? They may be brilliant at their jobs and may just have been careless BUT why give them a chance when there are plenty more available. When interviewing TWs (I don't in my current role), I have always asked agencies to provide a copy of the CV in its original electronic format where possible, so that I can look at how it was created. It tells me a lot about a TW and certainly poses many questions that a prospective employee might not like answering. While not everyone does this, I am certainly not Robinson Crusoe in this approach. My 0.02 as usual.
