[austechwriter] Re: Links and attachments

Good, that solves the problem with anthropomorphy at least.

Do they need to know *how* it happens? Can you just tell them that it
  does?

The first module connects to the target module.
The record in the target module appears in the first module.

  Or

The record in the target module flows back into the first module.

"The record in the target module makes a connection to the source
  module."
  Very clever record, indeed!

    How about "Connects" or "References"?

The record in the target module contains a reference to the source =3D
    module.
The record in the target module makes a connection to the source
  module.

    OK all you terminology gurus!
I need help to come up with a creative set of terminology to describe
  =3D
    how
one module links to another in an object related database.

We currently use the word Attachment. The first module attaches to =3D
    another
module via a button in an attachment field. However, our customers
  seem =3D
    to
find this concept difficult to understand.

We tried using the words links and linking but this seems to confuse =3D
    people
because it does not define in what direction the linking is.
If the first module links/attaches/connects to a record in a target =3D
    module.
The record in the target module ??? back to the ??? module. If we
  use
links/attaches in both cases it is confusing to our customers.
    Thanks for your help.
