[austechwriter] Re: Amend or Edit or something else?

I noticed that word "field" was slipped into one of the responses. As these
users aren't programmers, I would make sure not to use it, regardless of the
Amend or Edit result.

Hi Stuart,

Mainly people who work in the back-office of a bank or financial
institution use the software

Regards
Daryl

Who uses this function? Brokers? Clerks? Financial planners?
Jo(e) Public?

Generally, [Change] would be a more obvious label, but you
need to be sure 'amend' isn't a specialised or familiar term for
this sort of transaction.

I think 'edit' is an IT industry term -- useful in its place but not in
an application for non-IT users.
