Hi David,
No, I’m leaving everything as is when I run the installer.
JAWSKEY plus ‘Q’ with the audacity window open returns:
“Audacity settings. audacity.exe, a u d a c i t y . e x e”
I am using the Insert on the numpad for the JAWSKEY.
Ctrl plus JAWSKEY plus ’V’ returns:
“Audacity® Version 2,1,3,0 Jaws script version 2.1.0, for Audacity 2.0.0 or
later.”
Thanks,
Stan B

Are you changing anything while you run the installer? If yes, try running the
installer with all of the defaults. It sounds like your .jkm file is
corrupting... what does JAWSKey+’q’ tell you?
Also, what key are you using as your JAWS key? I have my keyboard setting set
to laptop mode so I can use the capslock and/or the ins key in the six pack.
Just fishing for clues,

Hi,
Ok, I reinstalled the JAWS scripts from 2017-02-18. With JAWS Version
18.0.2530.400, some of the default keystrokes still do NOT work. But when I use
NVDA or narrator, the keystrokes work just fine. I duplicated this on another
machine. Both PCs have windows 10.
That seems to point to either a JAWS specific problem or something in my
windows 10. I’ll check with some other techie lists for some ideas.
Thanks,
Stan B

Are you going to try and re-run the scripts installer? I’d suggest following
all of the defaults including removing old scripts.
Best,

Hi David,
It’s definitely something to do with the jaws script V2.1.0. I uninstalled
the script and the keystrokes work. Yes, I hope to get time this evening to try
NVDA and narrator. I’ll report back.
Thanks,
Stan B

Hi Stan,
could you try using another screen reader, such as narrator or nvda, to check
whether it's a Jaws issue on your computer. I've tested with Jaws 18 and
version 2.1.0 of the script and don't have any problems.
David.

Hi all,
Anyone else experiencing this?
I have it happening on 2 different machines, both running Windows 10 and the
latest Jaws scripts for audacity. Keystrokes as basic as Ctrl + S, Ctrl + P,
and Ctrl + X doing nothing. While others such as Ctrl + O and Ctrl + F6 are
working fine.
Thanks,
Stan B
