I have some suggestions that maybe (I hope) will help us come up with
something.
If we start with word associations, maybe that will spark something. I
know this sounds maybe elementary, but if we look in a thesaurus and/or
dictionary, we might hit on something. I really have to say I dislike the
PMRC idea, although I like the symbolic arrow pointing to the right.
Here's a way to maybe begin a train of thoughts to substitute for the
"progressive" label:
forward, impetus, momentum, motion, circuit, process, drive, driven, push,
elevate, progress, advance, traverse, impel, wrought, animate, new, neo..
How about words that bring up images of the futuristic like:
vision(ary), prophesy, foreshadow, divine, futurus...
How about words that have a brainy quality:
cerebral, neuro, neural pathway, capacity, rational(ity), cognition,
quotient, real(ity), memory, conscience, conscious...
How about things that sound purposeful:
design, aim, end, object(ive), intention, concept, quest...
How about using Greek or Latin words? neo for new, zoe for life or live...
alpha, omega,...
I tried to avoid the overly obvious words, and I know these aren't the
greatest or all inclusive, but hey, we all had to brainstorm to come up
with band names, lyrics, logos, etc. We had to have started somewhere.
Between us all, if we bat around images and words, surely we can can come
up with something not only good, but maybe even great. It's my opinion
that the best words/logos are the ones that make you go "hmmmmm..."
Catchy, curious, short and to the point. It can be unrelated words that
evoke an image. We could also draw on lyrics from our favorite bands or
our own lyrics. Not necessarily a direct quote, maybe an allusion. Or
authors and books. As long as we don't get preachy and/or political so as
to alienate folks. Thoughts? :-)
