I hate to oversimplify this, but when it comes right down to it, people like music because they feel an emotional connection to it. That's why I love Rush, and always have.. because it triggers something in me. I can say the same thing about a lot of other types of music, including, every once in a while, a 99X "song du jour". Sure, I don't care for most of what they play, but sometimes, a certain song just does it for me. And at that point, I don't care whether it's "flavor of the month" or not. Calling certain music "crap" is pointless. One man's trash is another man's treasure. If you like it, it's good. And "somebody" likes "everything." So, there you go.
